October!

Dear Parents, Students and Staff,                                                      October 3, 2016

We are almost two months into the school year. The students are settling into their routines and we are excited about the start of Fall and a fantastic new school year!

In September our students had health screenings. If you have questions or want more information regarding your child’s results, contact the school nurse at DeSoto Early Childhood Center.

The Boosters are busy, they have school shirts for sale for both students and adults. If you would like to purchase one, contact your child’s teacher. The proceeds from this fundraiser will provide resources for your child’s classroom. If you would like more information about the Boosters Committee, feel free to join them on Thursday, October 13. There will be a Boosters meeting at 5:00 p.m., in the cafeteria at DeSoto Early Childhood Center. The president, Jessica Namik, would be thrilled for your help this year.

New Horizons students will be participating in some fun fieldtrips this year. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate. The completion of a volunteer application is required in order to accompany your child on fieldtrips. A volunteer application can be found on the District Website. Completing this form as soon as possible is recommended as getting approval can take up to Thirty (30) days.
