March Letter from Principal

March 1, 2017

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Where did the school   year go? We only have two more months   of school! Time flies when you are having fun!

The last two months   were busy! We sent surveys home with students. Please return them to your   child’s teacher if you have not done so already. These surveys provide us   invaluable feedback on how we are doing.

Carrie Baucom, from   USF presented to all of our classes about making healthy choices. Ask your   child about what he/she is learning in this class.

Our Saturday Night   Lights fundraiser was great! Thank you to those of you who were able to come   out and help. We appreciate it so much.

Congratulations to our   Parent Volunteer of the Year, Rebeca Carrillo! Thank you so much for your   service to our school. Mrs. Carrillo will be recognized at the District   Volunteer of the Year celebration on April 4, 2017.

Our VPK students have   completed the second round of assessments and they are making great gains!   Please continue to read with your child at home at least 30 minutes per day.   This helps increase vocabulary and encourages a love for reading.
