I began my teaching career at West Elementary in 1984. I taught there for 27 years before transferring to the Early Childhood Center in January 2013. Then in 2014 the preshool became the New Horizons School at Nocatee Elementary. 


I grew up in Louisville Kentucky and moved to Arcadia after college. I have been married to Mac Martin for 29 years. We have 2 children, Alex (25) and Wally (21). Alex lives and works on the Barnum and Bailey Circus train. He travels all over the US with the circus! Wally is a senior at University of Florida. GO GATORS!!  As a family, we enjoy fishing, playing tennis and all kinds of music. I have been involved with the DHS Blazing Blue Band for many years and enjoy helping run the concession stand during lots of sporting events.
